A Pig is an animal in that can be purchased at Marnie's Ranch for data-sort-value="16000">16.000 G, after owning a Deluxe Barn.

Produce

Pigs mature after 10 days. The Pig will dig up Truffles and leave them on the ground, which sell for a base of data-sort-value="625">625 G. You do not need to stay on the farm screen for them to produce truffles.

A pig's chance of creating produce is governed by the the rules listed in the Produce section of Animal Care with three exceptions:

1. They must be let outside to create their produce.
2. They cannot produce truffles in Winter or Rain.
3. They have a chance of digging up multiple truffles, which is a percent chance equal to Animal Friendship/1500. At max friendship this means they have a 66% chance of creating an additional truffle. Multiple truffles can be made until the animal fails this check.

Pigs, like all other animals except rabbits, have a low chance to reproduce and can produce baby pigs. The more animals there are inside the same barn, the higher the chance an animal will give birth.

Truffles benefit from professions such as Gatherer, allowing for double harvest, as well as Botanist, making all Truffles iridium quality. However, Truffles do not benefit from the Rancher profession.

Selling

Pigs can be sold. The selling price is dependent on how many hearts the animal has (data-sort-value="20528">20.528 G max).
