The '''Monster Compendium''' is a [[Books|book]] that can be dropped by monsters. The chance for a monster to drop the book starts at 0.01%, and increases by 0.0015% until it is dropped, which then the chance then stays at 0.05% permanently.<ref name="compendiumDrop" />
It grants the player a power that gives monsters a small chance to drop double loot. Subsequent readings will grant combat XP. Two copies of it can be traded to the [[Bookseller]] in exchange for a [[Slime Incubator]] or a [[Slime Egg-Press]].
Once obtained, it can be found in [[the Player]]'s Menu on the [[Special Items & Powers]] tab.
