The Crafting menu can be accessed by pausing the game (using ESC or E) and navigating to the tab with a hammer icon. The recipes the player knows will be saturated, while recipes with missing ingredients are faded grey.

By mousing over each item, a popup shows the materials that you will need. Ingredient names written in red text are not currently in the player's inventory.

To craft an item, click on the item's icon once you have all the required ingredients. The newly crafted item will appear beneath the player's cursor, and the player can then place it inside their inventory. The crafting screen may expand to multiple pages once the player acquires a larger selection of recipes.

Crafting recipes are gained by leveling up any skills, purchased from merchants, or received as gifts by gaining friendship points with villagers.

Bombs
A good way to gain more minerals is to invest some of them to use as bombs.
These types of bombs can be used anywhere, the same as the ones that are dropped or bought.

Fences
Fences block players, mobs, farm animals and the spread of grass.

All fences will have the same characteristics, but differ in durability while comparing to each material requirements.
Note: Your spouse is able to fix some of the broken-state fences daily before leaving the house.

There are three states of fence: fresh (will drop itself as item after demolishing), normal (will not drop itself as item after demolishing), and damaged (will not drop itself as item, and the model is changed to appear broken). These states do not apply to gates (they will always drop item).
Fences will disappear entirely if left in damaged state for too long.

Sprinklers
Sprinklers are essential for automating part of the farming process. Sprinklers water crops automatically every morning at 6 AM.

Tip: Once the hoe has been upgraded to copper or better, it is easy to accidentally till the square where the sprinkler is located, which will remove the sprinkler from the ground. To avoid this, place your sprinkler on a flooring or pathway tile (such as the stone flooring).

Artisan Equipment
Artisan Equipment is used to make Artisan Goods. Each device makes a specific set of goods, and can craft only one item at a time. Increased production requires multiple devices.

As with furnaces and all other equipment, the artisan good must be collected from the device before it can be used again.

Fertilizer
Fertilizer is used for boosting the productions of your farm. It may consume no water, increase chance of better quality or speed the growth.

Note: Use the fertilizer before planting the seeds.

Note: Fertilizer is non-stackable on the soil. Only 1 type of fertilizer can be used.
