Tackle can be attached to fishing rods to make it easier to catch fish. Many lure recipes unlock as the player's fishing skill increases.

You must have an Iridium Rod to equip tackle. An Iridium Rod allows both tackle and bait to be used simultaneously.

Tackles have a durability-bar, which decreases on use.

|Causes fish to escape slower when you aren't reeling them in.
|The "catching" bar decreases 66% slower. This is one of the most viable tackle items to use, as it has a variety of application and a very good bonus.

|Cork Bobber
|Slightly increases the size of your "fishing bar".
|The increase in size isn't large enough to be helpful, in general. The actual increase is a flat 24 pixels which is a 25% to 13.6% increase depending on your fishing level (without buffs).

|Lead Bobber
|Adds weight to your "fishing bar", preventing it from bouncing along the bottom.
|This is not very helpful as it is fairly easy to prevent the bar from bouncing by clicking to slow it down right before it hits the bottom.

|Fish don't escape while collecting treasures. Also slightly increases the chance to find treasures.
|Increases treasure chance by 33% (20% instead of the base 15%). Great for when you are trying to collect artifacts, or simply looking for some extra materials.

|
|Barbed Hook
|Makes your catch more secure, causing the "fishing bar" to cling to your catch. Works best on slow, weak fish.
|This hook will make your fishing bar 'cling'to the fish, automatically going up or down to try and stay on the middle of the fish. It will only try to move when the bar is actually on the fish. You can still manually control the bar but its rather difficult as you need to catapult yourself out of the fish because the pull is pretty strong. This tackle is best used against slow fish and is not recommended to use against faster fish as it will probably make the catch more difficult with the bars random movements.
